Hey there,
Sorry for writing in English but I'm in real trouble and hope someone can help.
I have had a pop top roof fitted to my LWB T5 varebil and paid the fee to Toll to change to personbil.
I am having a really hard time with the inspection at Statens Vegvesen Risløkka because they are worried about the B and C pillars which have been cut and modified.
The roof comes with a test certificate to say that the seatbelt anchorages still pass the EC safety directive but the inspectors say I need approval from VW to say that the modified bodywork is safe.
Now we all know that VW are not going to approve someone else's product so what can I do???
They will take my registration plates from me on the 30 June so I am really under pressure.
Any and all ideas welcome...
Med vennlig hilsen
Dougie

Både tyske og britiske venner monterer vel vippetak månedtlig for tiden i T5-serien så dette burde selv Risløkka få til.
Like Jörg says, ask the Germans or search the British ads and ask the fitters what kind of magic wonder they see that our own heroes at Risløkka would be afraid of.

And dont go back to Risløkka, go to another "station".
They do follow the same rules, the difference is who reads the rules...

Thanks guys,
I originally tried Jessheim and they told me to go to the "experts" at Risløkka.
I have now been told that a Reimo roof with TUV approval will be accepted.
Does anyone fit them here in Norway? Not according to the reimo website but just double checking here.
Med vennlig hilsen

There's this guy named Truls Farner who used to convert campers, he is now a "motorjournalist" for a campermagazine - perhaps he knows who does.
