Post by PMS »

Hi,
my name is Thomas (Tom) and I know about your topic from a scooter forum.
Wow,I never know about such a great interresting about old VW-bus!
I live near Stuttgart.
Drive T2 (79;50HP) from 1985-1990
then T3 (81;V6-2,8i) from 1991-now

I see a great T3 with a V8!!Great work!!
Hope I will see more pics!?

And I hope to travel to NO in the next years.
A very good frind live there since 1996> I will visit him.
Is there a good T3/VW meeting 2012?

T3 Greetings
Tom

They take often the 2,3l because the motor was not so high then a 2,8i.
I lost the space under the bed for camping tabel etc.>now there is a metall box ;-)

Last year I start to drive Bus-meetings again.
Stop at 1999...
But I want to see Norway ...with the bus...for holiday...and if there a a great Bus-meeting I will see it too....so pleas send me information of nice meetings. Thanks

Lower and no Autobahn?
Think when I live in NO I better drive a 4WD :D
Post springs are a little bit harder then normal springs, but longer?
My Bus was no Syncro, but I like harder springs for my 2t T3

2,8i or 2,9 EFI in a Doka was nice...but now only to drive with a test-nr.-plate in Germany.

Yes it was a Transporter bevor.
I am the 3 Owner.
The 2.owner take the high roof on the bus an camping stuff inside.
I made some new an better, but it`s not finished....

About the DoKa with Ford motor>I don`t know exaktly a DoKa,but is there enaugh space for the injektion in the Doka-motor-place?
If you use a 2,8 carb. with a sportfilter you don`t need so much space...

About your bike:Nice Duc  I drive also bikes...but in the last years more MTB or Roadbike without motor...

Nice..I think with Kat and Euro1 or. 2.
I was thinking about to change my 2,8i into a 2,9EFI because of the Kat.
But then I loose my Historic Nr. Plate (I need no Kat and less tex).
In Germany there a very less T3 with Custom works and a H-Plate...I only know my T3,but I was not at the Tuning meeting on the Hockenheim-Ring.
My custom work was made in the 80th`s,so more than 20 years ago

...my dream was a old Porsche-motor...like the T3 from the Porsche-faktory.
