Hm. Har plutselig blitt interessert i bensinmotoralternativer i T3, kan ha noe med at eg nå har en T3 med bensinmotor...
Subarumotorene har eg tro på. Mastercraftmotors.com er et av flere firmaer som tilbyr løsninger på dette. Et lite sitat fra dem:
At Mastercraft Motors, we believe the Subaru engine is the best possible engine choice for the Vanagon for several reasons. It has excellent hp and torque throughout it's entire RPM range. It is an exceptionally smooth running engine (much smoother than the 2.1). It is easily acquired and parts are available everywhere. It is the closest in size and weight to the stock 2.1 engine. It is very well built with a fully counterweighted crankshaft and 5 full size mainbearings. It uses modern engine management system that includes a knock sensor unlike the 2.1. If a modified oil pan is used no ground clearance is lost and the engine fits perfectly under the engine lid.
